Hi I'm writing this on behalf of Anna at the Guardian-

Just to let you know that, sadly, due to corporate reshuffling the Guardian Abroad website has been closed down. The blogs listings are no longer live, which means that if you had a 'Review my blog on Guardian Abroad' button or any links, these are now directed to the Guardian Weekly website.
We're very sorry for any inconvenience caused and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your creative and much appreciated contribution to Guardian Abroad. Please come and have a look at the new site, and feel free to submit any ideas you have, either about the site or to do with ideas for articles.

Thanks and best wishes,
Anna Bruce-Lockhart

Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to buy a link in the text on your site
Please let me know how much it is to have a link in the text in all pages of your site (please note: we are not interested in Google ads and banners). The link should be in static html. Payment will be by PayPal.
If you are not interested then please indicate this in a reply and we will not disturb you anymore.

Yours faithfully,

Dear David - thank you for interest but I am not keen to advertise on my blog

Hi Manooj - Thanks for the kind words. I had a play with wordpress and the editing, publishing, templates and comment moderations are far better than blogger imho - with one button export - it was easy.

Do you think the wordpress platform is so much better?

The wordpress platform I find to be less user friendly than I use both and much prefer blogger.

I am hoping to spend a few months in Dubai over Xmas and can't wait!
