Well, to be honest, Ramadan is a real pain in the arse. It's going to destroy my social life for a whole month. I went out last night (Friday), knowing there would be no music, but was really surprised to see hardly any women out. I ended up going to the Irish Village, which was very lively due to the rugby being shown in a large marquee next door.

I smile at Anonymous' comments.. how ironic that we expats have chosen to live in an Arab country, and yet have so much scorn for their traditions and culture.. If respect is so hard for us to give, maybe we should just pack up and go home...? No huh? I thought so...
